This Monday morning, the Formula 2 was back on track in Bahrain, three weeks before the start of the season which will be given on the same Sakhir track. During this first 3-hour session, the teams debugged their cars without doing anything crazy, firstly ensuring that everything was working perfectly.
In these conditions, it was Carlin's new recruit Daniel Ticktum who set the best time of the session in 1'43"021, ahead of New Zealand rookie Liam Lawson (Hitech/+0"6) and his teammate Jehan Daruvala (+0 »7). French Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) set the 15th fastest time, 0” behind his teammate Christian Lundgaard.
