Alone, Lundgaard dominates the sprint race

This is called going it alone. Starting in 3rd position on the grid, Christian Lundgaard (ART) won race 2 of the Styrian Grand Prix this Sunday. The Dane had a real Sunday stroll. He was ahead of pole sitter (reverse grid) Dan Ticktum (DAMS), whom he overtook on the 4th lap, and his teammate Marcus Armstrong (ART), from whom he took the lead at the start. The resident of the Renault Sport Academy is the 4th winner in as many races.

Bad day for Prema

Winner of the main race, Robert Shwartzman (Prema) had a day without this Sunday. He made a mistake on his own at the first corner, losing the car on the throttle after locking his wheels a few seconds earlier. The Russian was never able to leave, since her engine stalled. He can still console himself by telling himself that he leaves with the lead in the championship. The Italian team also lost the unfortunate Mick Schumacher (Prema), who had to abandon after his fire extinguisher went off.
