One win out of three at Fuji, two wins out of three at Autopolis… Where will Evan Giltaire stop? Particularly impressive this weekend on the Japanese track, the driver, who will still be racing for ART Grand Prix in 2025, is definitely starting to make a name for himself in the Land of the Rising Sun. Second in the first qualifying session, the Frenchman once again struggled with a crucial phase: the start. Third in Race 1, Giltaire seemed to be left wanting more, having aimed to launch his second weekend with a bang.

Fortunately for him, rain marked the rest of this Super Formula weekend. Winner of races 2 and 3, the Frenchman notably executed a spectacular overtaking maneuver on the outside of Yusuke Mitsui. Among the incidents in Race 3, contact with Rintaro Sato damaged the local driver's car, but didn't prevent his French rival from continuing his progress.

“Very happy to have taken my third win of the season, my second consecutive win here at Autopolis! It was a very close race,” Evan Giltaire sums it up. I didn't get the best start, but then there was that unfortunate accident involving Rintaro Sato. There was nothing I could do about it. It obviously wasn't intentional. I want to apologize to him. When the red flag came out, the team did an excellent job putting me on the rain tires and allowing me to take the win after two overtakes.

In torrential rain, the driver of the number 1 car, now racing for B-Max Racing Team, made a strong impression, moving within two points of championship leader Yusuke Mitsui of Japan. With 45 points, Evan Giltaire has also extended his lead over the rest of the grid and is now eagerly awaiting the highly anticipated next round at Suzuka.
