Canada – Race 1: Doriane Pin wins a very exciting race!

Opportunistic, Dorian Pin glean a new victory there in F1 Academy. Making up for Race 2, which was scheduled to take place in Miami and was cancelled due to rain, the Prema driver outperformed Ella Lloyd and Emma Felbermayr, who completed the podium. At one point in a battle with Chloe Chambers, the Frenchwoman took advantage of the damage to the car of the American to maintain its lead. Setting the fastest laps in the race, the French car was the first to pass under the checkered flag, all under a yellow flag.

Symbolizing the chaotic race that took place in Montreal, this slow-motion finish to the race wasn't the first incident of the afternoon for the drivers. On the second lap, Chloe Chambers, then on pole, and Alisha Palmowski, second at the start, collided coming out of the first corner. The British driver spun and quickly had to retire. For her part, Chambers fought to stay on track, despite a badly damaged front wing. Overtaken by Doriane Pin, the American put up a fight, but wasn't able to hold on for very long. The two drivers finished the race in 8th and 9th positions.

Weug disappoints, clashes continue

Forced to retire after two premature pit stops, Maya Weug lost a lot during this race. The Dutchwoman, who was clinging to her championship lead thanks to the cancellation of the Florida race, was understandably overtaken today. Furthermore, Chloe Chong can also regret Rafaela Ferreira's particularly dangerous return to the track, which led to this final yellow flag. Both were forced to retire, and this incident followed Mathilda Paatz's equally fatal exit from the track.
