Silverstone – Race 2: Palmowski continues his winning streak ahead of surprise contender Bättig, Lisa Billard falters on the grid

Championship leader Alisha Palmowski remained composed at Silverstone, finishing ahead of wildcard entrant Chiara Bättig and Emma Felbermayr.

Starting second on the grid, Alisha Palmowski certainly drew on her experience when the lights went out. Able to overtake Charia Bättig, the Briton ultimately won the race in front of her home crowd at Silverstone, finishing six-tenths of a second ahead of her pursuer. Bättig, in particular, achieved a historic performance, as the 16-year-old, a wildcard entrant, delivered by far the best result ever achieved in the series. F1 Academy by a guest driver. Third place on the podium went to Austrian Emma Felbermayr. The Audi-backed driver, who now boasts five F1 Academy podium finishes this year, paid the price for a somewhat disappointing qualifying session on Friday and lost four points over the weekend to her rival Palmowski. However, she finished ahead of the other contenders for top positions this year: Nina Gademan in fourth and Ella Lloyd in fifth.

Unfortunately for Lisa Billard, the starting exercise proved costly once again for the French driver. Starting third on the grid (her best result in the F1 Academy), the Normandy native stalled on the grid, forced to restart from last place once the clutch was properly engaged. She ultimately finished 14th, behind her compatriot Jade Jacquet, who finished 13th.
