F2 – C1: Charles Leclerc without competition at Spa

Nicholas latifi (DAMS), qualified in second position, failed to reach the grid and did not take part in the race. At the beginning, Charles Leclerc (Prema Racing) slips which allows Oliver Rowland (DAMS) to come up to him at the Source but the two come into slight contact without gravity at Eau Rouge. Behind, several incidents involving Louis Delétraz (Rapax) and Jordan King (MP Motorsport) involved the intervention of the virtual safety car for a few minutes.

Rowland was the first to stop on lap 7 to switch to medium tires but found himself stuck behind the drivers who had started on mediums. 4 laps later, Leclerc stopped and came out in front of the group of drivers on a staggered strategy, taking an option for victory compared to Rowland.

Artem Markelov (Russian Time), on an offbeat strategy, stops ten laps from the end for fresh soft tires and manages to move up to 2e place passing Rowland at the bus stop on the last lap.

Charles Leclerc won a sixth victory of the season with almost half a minute ahead of Artem Markelov who crossed the line less than a tenth behind Oliver Rowland. Luca Ghiotto manages to resist the return of Antonio Fuoco (Prema) and takes a fourth place. Racing Engineering teammates Gustav Malja and Nyck de Vries finish 6e and 7e ahead of Sergio Sette Câmara (MP Motorsport) and Roberto Merhi (Rapax) who scored their first points in F2. Norman Born (Arden), part 18e, concludes the top 10.
