F2 – Leclerc resists Latifi at Red Bull Ring

Charles Leclerc won another victory in F2 by winning in Race 1 at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (Austria) after starting from pole, his 5th of the season in as many attempts made. The Monegasque managed his lead and extended his first stint until the 31st of 40 laps.

The reigning GP3 Series champion came out on top but only maintained a one-second lead over Nicholas latifi (Dams), the fastest in the final laps, who prevented Prema Racing from scoring a double since he managed to take the advantage over Antonio Fuoco.

After a great battle with Antonio Fuoco, Oliver Rowland (Dams) finished just off the podium, ahead of ART Grand Prix drivers Alex Albon and Nobuharu Matsushita. Ralph Boschung (Campos Racing) took 7th place ahead of Artem Markelov (Russian Time) who will start from pole for Race 2.

Norman Nato (Pertamina Arden) retired with a mechanical problem on the 5th lap after making a good comeback from 9th position on the grid.
