German F4: two podiums for Victor Bernier

Victor Bernier continues his progress in German F4. The world champion of Karting OK-Junior 2018 had its best weekend of the season across the Rhine by bringing back Red Bull Ring two podiums and a 5th place. “In terms of pure performance, he was the fastest of the weekend”, his main team Thibaut de Merindol told us.

Starting 2nd in race 1, the Frenchman got stuck in Jonny Edgar's exhausts and was unable to find the opening. He then managed a good comeback from 10th to 5th place in Race 2, which allowed him to start from 4th for the last race of the weekend on a reverse grid.

Although he lost a few places during the first laps of Race 3, he then worked hard to make a good comeback and finish on the podium. “This season, he, like us, has progressed well, we will have to continue to materialize our progress at the end of the season” comments his team manager at R-ace GP.

The French F4 junior champion took advantage of this to get back into the championship. He is now 5th, 11 points from 4th and 54 points from the podium. He has two rounds left, at Lausitzring and Oschersleben, to try to grab this 4th place.
