Fe – D’Ambrosio on pole for the Punta del Este ePrix

Jérôme d'Ambrosio won his first qualifications in Formula E after being the fastest in the last qualifying session where the five fastest drivers competed for super pole.

The Belgian achieved a time of 1'15"4, beating his teammate by four tenths Loïc duval which ensured a full front row for Dragon Racing. The old pilot F1 climbs to seventh place in the Championship after winning the three points accompanying pole.

Sam Bird (DS Virgin Racing) will share the second row with Championship leader Lucas di Grassi (Abt Audi Sport). Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) is only fifth place after failing to brake during super pole. The Swiss is ahead of his teammate Nicolas Cheers.

Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi FE) set the 13th time ahead of his compatriot Nathanaël Berthon (Team Aguri). Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Virgin) is only 18th between Oliver Rowland (Mahindra Racing), Nick Heidfeld's replacement, and Jacques Villeneuve (Venturi FE) which hit the wall. The former resident of Toro Rosso missed his braking during his only flying lap.

The Punta del Este ePrix will begin at 20 p.m. French time and will be followed live on Canal+ Décalé.
