The future is being prepared on the side of F3. Like the F2 which introduced an all-new car this season (the 2 Dallara F2024), the lower category will also update its current range. We have known for a while, the Dallara F3 2019 is experiencing its last moments before bowing out.

The arrival of its successor is planned for the 2025 campaign, one year after that of Formula 2. A staggered introduction due to the development time required and so that the two projects do not overlap simultaneously.

Track outing planned for this summer for the new F3

Concerning the roadmap for this new F3, everything seems to be going well for Formula Motorsport Limited, promoter of Formula 3. Firstly on the side of the partners since they will not change compared to the previous generation. Enough to make the process easier.

« Yes, we will work with Dallara again (chassis supplier) and Mecachrome (engine supplier) regarding the new Formula 3 car, assured Bruno Michel, boss of Formula Motorsport Limited, during a press point. We are already very far along in the development process. We have already successfully passed some of the security tests last week (end of April). There is more to come. »

As for the action on the track, the promoter aims to send his new mount onto the tarmac in the first weeks of summer. A little earlier than F2 last year, seen on the tarmac in the last part of summer. Then, it will be a matter of refining the development in order to complete it quickly to begin the process of manufacturing 30 models for the 10 teams on the grid.

« The idea would be to have a car available for a shakedown towards the end of June, beginning of July in order to then begin the major development part of the program, continues Bruno Michel. We want to be ready as soon as possible. It's never easy to get everything in line with the calendar. Now we know we will start in Melbourne (March 14-16) next year. We must therefore be ready as early as possible, but also so that the teams can carry out the tests. So far, everything is going as planned. There is a lot of work as usual. » As for the appearance of the new creation, the promoter has not yet revealed anything even if it would not be surprising if it comes close to the F1 modern like F2 2024. So be patient before the veil is definitively lifted, probably in the final sprint of the season.
