As usual, Monza is the scene of the final of the F3. If there was no suspense in 2023 with a Gabriel Bortoleto crowned in Friday's qualifying, 2022 has reserved a lot of suspense for us, with Victor Martins claiming victory after a very long wait. In 2024, this could happen given the situation of the championship.

Time to take stock, there are in fact 7 who can still be mathematically crowned. 35 points separate the leader Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident) and the 7th, Oliver Goethe (Campos). However, the latter is automatically excluded since he will not even be in the game after being promoted in F2 with MP Motorsport where he will replace Franco Colapinto.

6 contenders for 1 crown

So, there are only 6 left: Leonardo Fornaroli (129 points), Gabriele Mini (Prema, 128 points) Luke Browning (Hitech GP, 123 points), Arvid Lindblad (Prema, 113 points), Dino Beganovic (Prema, 100 points) and Christian Mansell (ART Grand Prix, 97 points).

A priori, the last two start with less chance given their delay. It is therefore between those in front that it should be played out and in particular the leading trio who are only 6 points apart.

Looking at the recent rounds, everything is very open since everyone has had some irregularity. Gabriele Mini has only scored 9 points in his last four races, Luke Browning 11, while Leonardo Fornaroli took advantage to move back in front by scoring 36 in the same period after a more discreet period.

Behind this trio, Arvid Linblad is inevitably on the lookout. Although he starts 13 lengths behind, the Briton is nonetheless a serious candidate. His excellent speed has allowed him to sign some great performances like his double victory at Silverstone last July, the only one to have achieved such a feat this year. If things have been a little less strong since then with 4 consecutive finishes outside the points, the protégé of Red Bull could emerge from the woodwork this weekend to succeed Gabriel Bortoleto on the F3 podium. In any case, it should not be dismissed. Far from it.

For Dino Beganovic and Christian Mansell, it would take a miracle and a combination of results for one of them to walk away with the title this Sunday. But one thing is for sure, this F3 finale promises to be thrilling and could not ask for a better theatre than the Temple of Speed for its denouement.
