Formula e – Rowland replaces Heidfeld in Uruguay

With a hand injury, German Nick Heidfeld will not be able to hold his place at the Punta del Este ePrix in Uruguay. He will be replaced at Mahindra Racing by Briton Oliver Rowland.

Formula e – Rowland replaces Heidfeld in Uruguay

Injured hand ligaments after the previous round in Putrajaya in Malaysia, Nick Heidfeld had already missed the 2015 season finale of WEC in Bahrain last November. Now he is forced to give up the Punta del Este ePrix in Uruguay, third test of the Formula e 2015-2016, on December 19.

The German driver will be replaced at Mahindra Racing by the Briton Oliver Rowland, Formula champion Renault 3.5 This year. “I am happy to have this opportunity to express myself a little more this season, Rowland explains.
