Under the watchful eye of His Majesty King Felipe VI and before a packed Madrid stadium, the actors of the Formula E They delivered an intense spectacle for this historic first at Jarama. António Félix da Costa secured a resounding victory, leading Jaguar TCS Racing to a masterful one-two finish after a fierce battle that went all the way to the checkered flag. This second consecutive triumph for the Portuguese driver was not without its challenges, as his teammate Mitch Evans voiced his displeasure after being asked to stay behind da Costa. Having come from seemingly nowhere at the end of the race, the New Zealander tried everything to overturn the order in this fratricidal duel, but to no avail.
The scenario proved cruel for Nick Cassidy who, after converting his pole position into a perfect start, seemed to have the game in hand. The Citroën driver paid dearly for a miscalculation in strategy, extending his first stint well beyond the optimal window. The return of the Pit Boost system caused the pole-sitter to drop to seventeenth place at the finish. Meanwhile, Nyck de Vries has suffered a series of unfortunate events, accumulating sanctions after contact with the Porsche Pascal Wehrlein then a technical infraction during his stop in the pits for his mandatory refueling.
Cupra Kiro in great shape
The Madrid crowd's enthusiasm was fueled by Pepe Martí's performance, who led for several laps before ultimately losing ground to finish ninth. The Cupra Kiro team certainly made a splash, placing both cars at the front for a significant portion of the race. Dan Ticktum particularly distinguished himself with his aggressive driving and impressive race pace, making numerous daring moves to join the battle at the front. The Briton, however, missed out on a podium finish. Reigning champion Oliver Rowland had less success, his race being jeopardized from the start by a drive-through penalty for excessive power at the beginning of the race.
The French team's performance remains disappointing after this Spanish leg. Jean-Éric Vergne saw his points hopes dashed after being hit by Taylor Barnard, crossing the finish line in a distant fourteenth position. Norman Nato fared little better, finishing just outside the points.

Full stands at Jarama, very good... i.e., how many spectators at this "old school" circuit which has nothing to do with the future Madring "Mario Kart" laid out in the middle of the airport's business park?
