  • We expected total domination from Porsche this Saturday in Mexico, after the German team's one-two in qualifying. Poleman Pascal Wehrlein, double winner of the event, and his teammate Antonio Félix da Costa led the race for a long time and were heading for victory... but it was finally Oliver Rowland who won the Mexico E-Prix thanks to a little help from fate!
  • Still well placed in the Top 5, Oliver Rowland seemed to be heading for the places of honour behind the two Porsches… but the race changed on lap 29, when David Beckmann, hit by Zane Maloney, stopped at the entrance to the stadium and caused the intervention of the Safety Car. The Briton had just activated his second Attack Mode, but the Safety Car quickly cleared and with a bunched up field and two minutes of Attack Mode remaining, Oliver Rowland was able to easily get rid of the two Porsches, vulnerable to the extra power of the Nissan. This is Oliver Rowland's fourth victory in Formula E, but also the fourth with Nissan.

  • The Porsches, although the most efficient in terms of energy management, still save a double podium with Antonio Félix da Costa ahead of poleman Pascal Wehrlein. The Stuttgart firm even places a third car in the Top 4 with Jake Dennis and his Andretti powered by Porsche. With this second consecutive 2nd place, Antonio Félix da Costa takes the lead of the championship with 37 points ahead of Oliver Rowland (25 points) and Mitch Evans (25 points). Porsche logically (and largely) moves to the top of the Teams and Manufacturers championship with 58 points.
  • Jean-Éric Vergne signs his first Top 5 of the season. The DS Penske driver, who started 3rd, was in the running for victory for a long time behind the Porsches and the Nissan of Oliver Rowland. Unfortunately, the Frenchman had already used his two Attack Modes when the Safety Car intervened following the David Beckmann – Zane Maloney incident. Jean-Éric Vergne had to settle for 5th place ahead of his teammate, Maximilian Günther.
  • Mitch Evans, winner of the São Paulo E-Prix and leader of the championship, did not see the finish of this Mexico E-Prix! The New Zealander ended his race in the wall of turn 11 with six laps to go, after hitting Nico Müller at the exit of the chicane. However, the Jaguar driver was in a strong position before his retirement, being the only driver in the Top 8 to have a four-minute Attack Mode remaining at the time of the restart after the first Safety Car.
  • Having fallen behind his teammate since qualifying, only 18th on the starting grid, Norman Nato was unable to move up the order during the Mexico E-Prix. Although the Frenchman tried a daring strategy, keeping his two Attack Modes until the last ten laps, his gamble ultimately did not work despite the two Safety Cars and the Cannes driver crossed the checkered flag in 15th place.
