- A boss' performance. On the Catalan track this Saturday afternoon, James Wharton (Prema) was never worried by his rivals. With a very good reaction to the lights going out, the Australian quickly distanced himself from the competition, taking advantage of the duel between his teammate and championship leader Rafael Câmara and Tuukka Taponen (R-ace GP) which saw the latter turn second at the first corner.
- Once the start was assured, James Wharton set a pace that no one could keep up. After an initial Safety Car restart, the former protégé of Ferrari flew away by tenths per lap to take the checkered flag with a lead of more than 6 seconds. Behind him, the battle for second place turned to the advantage of Tuukka Taponen who never cracked under the pressure of Rafael Câmara who will have to wait at least until Race 2 this Sunday (16:05) to succeed Andrea Kimi Antonelli on the prize list. Brando Badoer (VAR) and Noah Strømsted (RPM) completed the Top 5 in Barcelona.
- On the French side, Théophile Naël (Saintéloc Racing), Enzo Peugeot (Saintéloc Racing), Alessandro Giusti (ART Grand Prix), Romain Andriolo (G4 Racing), Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP), Evan Giltaire (ART Grand Prix), Dorian Pin (Iron Dames) and Edgar Pierre (RPM) finished 6th, 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 24th and 25th respectively.
