Hungary – Race 2: Al Dhaheri wins his third race of the season, Wheldon retires again

For the third time this year, the league leader, Rashid Al Dhaheri, has made a very good move in the FREC championship.
Finishing second in Race 1, the day's pole-sitter took the victory at the Hungaroring to cap off a very successful FREC weekend. Victorious without being challenged, Rashid Al Dhaheri managed the various safety car restarts perfectly to finish ahead of MP Motorsport driver Alexander Abkhazava and R-ace GP's Italian driver, Emanuele Olivieri. The focused Emirati driver secured his third win of the season, undoubtedly demonstrating his consistency and propelling himself forward in the drivers' championship.
Behind Rashid Al Dhaheri in the standings, Sebastian Wheldon is likely having the worst race of his season in Hungary. Despite a strong showing in both races this weekend, the American driver was forced to retire again today, having failed to finish Race 1 on Saturday. He is watching drivers like Kean Nakamura-Berta (fourth) and Alex Ninovic (fifth) rack up significant points in the same timeframe. Among the retirements, both Prema drivers, Tomass Stolcermanis and Salim Hanna, were also involved in accidents.
Finally, for the French team, the weekend was definitely a difficult one. Andrea Dupé finished 17th, the best result of the three French riders, while Alexandre Munoz crossed the finish line in 19th place. Jules Roussel also finished 19th.
