GP2 – Nato on provisional pole at Silverstone

On the ground of France's best enemies in the field of sport, the French shone in the GP2 Series. Thanks to a time established in 1'38″216, Norman Born set the best time in the Silverstone qualifying session, but the Racing Engineering driver remains under investigation for achieving his benchmark under a red flag.

Pole position should in any case go to a French driver since it is Pierre Gasly (Prema Racing) who set the second time behind his compatriot in 1’38”441. The two Tricolores are ahead Nicholas latifi (DAMS) and Raffaele Marciello (Russian Time).

Sergey Sirotkin (ART Grand Prix) and Antonio Giovinazzi (Prema Racing) are temporarily reunited on the third row. Arthur Pic (Rapax) should start from ninth place. Note that Sergio Canamasas (Carlin), 14th in the session, will have to move back three places on the grid, after a penalty received after free practice for unsporting behavior towards Oliver Rowland (MP Motorsport).
