Indy 500, day 1 – Grosjean gets his bearings, Pagenaud satisfied

The 106th edition of the Indianapolis 500 began Tuesday May 17 with two free practice sessions. Classified in the second half of the table, the two French people involved Romain Grosjean (Andretti) and simon pagenaud (Meyer Shank Racing) however draw positive lessons from this day.
For the winner of the 2019 edition, it was “a very satisfying day. We found a lot of good things about the car. The car is comfortable on long stints, which allowed us to see the good performance of the tires. I am very happy. Of course, we still have room for improvement to find to be perfect for the race, but we already have a great base to work from.
