IndyCar – Oriol Servia returns to service at Panther Racing

Oriol Servia returns to service after the Indianapolis 500. Engaged at the start of the season with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, which has just withdrawn from IndyCar Series, the Spaniard has just found a wheel within Panther Racing for two races, this weekend in Texas and June 23 in Iowa. For his return, the driver joins a team that he knows well, since it had a technical partnership with Dreyer & Reinbold before his withdrawal. “Oriol has been part of our extended family for a year now, so it will be a smooth transition for the National Guard team ("National Guard", the official sponsor of the car, Editor’s note)”, judges John Barnes, manager at Panther. “We know what Oriol is capable of and our team is always happy to have a driver who is always at the top for each race on the IndyCar calendar”.

“I couldn’t be more excited than for this opportunity”, declared the Spaniard, who has a fourth place in Brazil as his best result this season. “Firstly, because it is a job, but a job for a team with whom I have worked very closely for a year. Not only do I know everyone here, but I also know the potential of the National Guard car and the performance we have will give us a chance to win?.

After Ryan Briscoe, present during the Detroit doubleheader, Oriol Servia takes his place in the No. 4 car left vacant since the team and JR Hildebrand reached a compromise to end their contract, which initially ran until end of the season
