Dragonspeed eyes IndyCar

As she shines Endurance, the Dragonspeed team plans to engage in IndyCar. The owner of the American team Elton Julian is studying the possibility of setting up a partial program focused on the events in St Petersburg (Florida), Long Beach (California), the Indy GP, Indy 500, Portland (Oregon) and Sonoma ( California).

Dragonspeed has already retained Ben Hanley to compete in the American Single-Seater Championship. The 33-year-old Briton who notably finished vice-champion of Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2007 competes in the “Super Season” of WEC at the wheel of the BR1 alongside Henrik Hedman and Renger van der Zande who replaced Pietro Fittipaldi following his crash during practice for the 6 Hours of Spa.

Elton Julian had a long career in car. The American notably raced in British F3 and in F3000 before becoming a test driver for the Larrousse team in F1.
