Indy Lights – Nico Jamin wins at Barber

The first race held at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama in Indy Lights saw the victory of Frenchman Nico Jamin (Andretti Autosport), at the end of a round marked by a starting procedure that was complicated to say the least.

After a first contact between Aaron Telitz and Shelby Blackstock (Belardi Auto Racing) even before the green flag, a second incident between Colton Herta (Andretti Steinbrenner Racing), second on the grid, and pole sitter Kyle Kaiser (Juncos Racing) will then occur. that the departure is interrupted

Herta had to return to the pits to change his front wing and was also penalized and pushed to the back of the grid for not having maintained his pace behind the pace car.

If Kyle Kaiser remained at the front when the race resumed, Nico Jamin quickly took the advantage over the leader and took off at the head of the race only to be overtaken and thus sign his first success in the category.

The 2000 USF champion in 2015 and 3rd in the Pro Mazda Championship last year, ahead of Kyle Kaiser and Neil Aberico (Carlin) at the finish.
