Indycar – Andretti returns to Honda

Since 2014, the American team Andretti Autosport is supplied as a motor by the manufacturer Honda. For several months, rumors had been rife about a possible move to Chevrolet.

However, the team announced with the help of a video that it was renewing its partnership with the Japanese engine manufacturer for at least two years.

« We have good relationships and we have reached heights with both manufacturers, explains Michael Andretti, but we are delighted to continue with Honda. We have a great history with them and I have no doubt that together we will continue to achieve very good results."

This decision will have an impact on the team's line-up with several drivers linked to the engine manufacturer, notably the last two winners of the 500 Miles, Alexander Red and Takuma Sato. This also revives a very insistent rumor across the Atlantic concerning a full-time tenure of Fernando Alonso if he were to leave McLaren and F1.
