IndyCar-C1: Finally victory for Sébastien Bourdais!

Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing) scored its first victory since its return to the discipline on the Toronto road circuit (Canada) after winning pole in Race 1 which was postponed following the deluge that hit last night. The four-time Champ Car champion held his own against the Championship leader Helio Castroneves (Team Penske) to sign its first success since Mexico City in 2007, improving its record with 32 poles for 32 victories! “It’s really beautiful, the stars must be aligned. I finished second and third last year and this victory is really nice.”, commented the former pilot Toro Rosso which offers the first success to KVSH since Tony Kanaan's victory in the Indianapolis 500 last year.

The Brazilian (Chip Ganassi Racing) completes the podium in front simon pagenaud (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) who also had a superb race even though he was involved in a multiple collision on the first lap, forcing him to make a crazy comeback from the back of the peloton. Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing) completes the top five ahead of Graham Rahal (RLL Racing) who has gained five positions in the peloton. Charlie Kimball (Chip Ganassi Racing) follows in seventh place ahead of national driver James Hinchcliffe. If Will Power (Team Penske) has to be content with a top ten, Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport) is the big loser of the event since the American retired on contact.

The starting grid for Race 2 of theIndyCar in Toronto will be constituted according to the Drivers' classification at the end of the first event, the organizers not having time to carry out a new qualifying session following the delay the day before. The updated Drivers' Championship is accessible on this link. The start will be given around 22 p.m. (Paris time).
