IndyCar – Jack Hawksworth with Bryan Herta Autosport

After trying several drivers at the end of last season including JR Hildebrand and former GP2 driver Luca Filippi, the Bryan Herta Autosport team, winner of the Indy 500 in 2011 with the late Dan Wheldon, will finally field English driver Jack Hawksworth for the 2014 seasonIndyCar on the #12 DW98 powered by a Honda engine. The former Indy Lights resident convinced the team after testing on the Sebring track.

“I am absolutely thrilled to race for Bryan Herta Autosport in the 2014 IndyCar Series.” said the 23-year-old rookie. “This has been a dream of mine for many years and I can’t wait to get started. We had a great first test at Sebring which gave us a solid foundation on which to build our season.” There is a lot of talent and potential on the team. The first event of the 2014 IndyCar vintage will take place on the St Petersburg track in Florida, on March 30.
