IndyCar – Juncos Racing will be at Indy 500

Engaged with two cars in Indy Lights, the anteroom of theIndyCar, Juncos Racing is preparing to take its first steps in the premier American single-seater discipline by entering the 101st edition of the Indianapolis 500 on May 28.

“I am really happy to finally be able to confirm our participation in the IndyCar Series, commented Ricardo Juncos, the founder of the team of the same name. It's only been two months since we opened our technical center, which was a big moment for us. We are now becoming a new team in IndyCar and we will be racing at the Indy 500. It is without a doubt one of the greatest moments of my life. »

Juncos Racing will later reveal the driver and manufacturer selected for the Indianapolis 500. Ricardo Juncos chose to engage his structure in the USA from 2002 after having founded it in Argentina. After a program in karting, the team turned to Star Mazda which became Pro Mazda Championship and won the Indy Lights title in 2015 with Spencer Pigot.

Ricardo Juncos notably joined forces with Kevin Kelkhoven, former co-owner of KV Racing Technology which ceased operations this month.
