IndyCar – Pagenaud on pole at Barber

simon pagenaud (Team Penske), the leader of the Championship victorious last weekend at the Long Beach Grand Prix (California), won the pole for the Alabama GP held at Barber Motorsports Park. Le Poitevin recorded a time of 1'06''7262 during the Firestone Fast Six, two tenths ahead of his teammate Will Power who will start alongside him on the front row.

Josef Newgarden (Ed Carpenter Racing) is the closest to the Penske drivers. The American beat Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing), author of the fourth fastest time, and Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing). Graham Rahal (RLL Racing) completes the top six on the grid.

Note the poor performance of Juan Pablo Montoya (Team Penske) in difficulty with his soft tires who posted the worst time of his session and who will start at the back of the grid.

The Alabama Grand Prix will be followed live at 21:30 p.m. on Canal+ Sport.
