IndyCar – Successful return for James Hinchcliffe

James Hinchcliffe was able to get back behind the wheel of his car on Monday September 28 duringa test session organized at Road America (Wisconsin) to test parts made by Honda on the road circuit which will host for the first time theIndyCar in eight years from June 24 to 26.

The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver was seriously injured in a crash during practice for the Indianapolis 500 on May 18. “This track is incredible, it’s one of my favorites in the USA. To come back here to drive an IndyCar is sensational.”, commented the 2010 IndyLights runner-up.

The Canadian was very happy to get back behind the wheel, to the point of responding to his team: “I’m never going back.” when his engineers called him back to the pits. “I stayed honest with myself. I wasn't going to lie to myself in order to come back sooner. I wanted to make sure I was ready.”, explained James Hinchcliffe who shared the track with Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing), Tristan Vautier (Dale Coyne Racing) and Andretti drivers Marco Andretti and Ryan Hunter-Reay.
