IndyCar – Sage Karam returns to Indy 500

Sage Karam has confirmed his participation in the 101st edition of the Indianapolis 500. The American will remain with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing.

IndyCar – Sage Karam returns to Indy 500

Sage Karam will make his 4th consecutive start at the Indianapolis 500 on May 28 where the 101st edition will take place. The 21-year-old American entered with 3GT Racing in the GTD category of theIMSA with a Lexus RC-F will take advantage of the break to return to compete in the biggest American race with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing with whom he will enter for the 3rd time.

“It's a very difficult challenge to try to win the Indy 500 with a one-car team, but I'm confident in the team's abilities to field a car that can compete for the win., commented the 2013 Indy Lights champion. I will work with the same engineers and the same team that was present at the Indy 500 during my two engagements with the team. »

Sage Karam retired from the two previous editions on contact after taking 9th place in 2015 for his first entry, but he can remain optimistic after seeing his compatriot Alexander Red win the 100th edition while he was entered as a rookie. The American also suffered a retirement at the 24 Hours of Daytona (Florida) at the end of January.
