IndyCar – Takuma Sato rejoins AJ Foyt

After a thunderous start to the season which propelled him to the top of the general classification of the?IndyCar, Sato could not maintain his level of performance and finally finished in seventeenth position in the general classification.

When Takuma Sato signed with the American team for the 2013 season, some observers wondered if the marriage would work. It is clear that after offering the team a first victory since 2002 and the extension of his contract for 2014, Sato seems to form a great team with the Foyt family.

“This team is really special to me. I always felt their support behind me and that gave me the confidence to assert myself, revealed the Tokyo native. I am happy to continue this collaboration next year and I look forward to testing the new Honda engine. This should allow us to be in front more often in 2014. Takuma Sato, who is expected to complete a day of testing today at the Sebring circuit, was recently named to be one of the test and development drivers for the brand new championship of Formula E.
