James Hinchcliffe opts out of running Indy 500

Eliminated during “Bump Day” last weekend with Pippa Mann, James hinchcliffe (Schmidt Peterson Motorsport) was nevertheless looking for a way to take part in the Indianapolis 500 (Indiana, May 27). The Canadian announced Wednesday that he accepted his fate, via a message posted on his Twitter account:

 

“Unless unexpected circumstances allow me to do so, I will not do the Indy 500 this year. The decision to stop looking for an option to run was made. There are no words to explain how much I will miss running. »

James Hinchcliffe took pole position in 2016. “I have no excuse, we didn’t do the job. We face this reality and we will use it to come back even stronger. I'm sorry I can't be on track for the fans. »
