Indycar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway bought by Penske

This is what we can call a great sale. Hulman & Company announced Monday, November 4, the sale of the championship IndyCar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) to Penske Entertainment Corporation, a subsidiary of Penske Corporation.

Penske is a well-known name in US motorsport. Roger Penske founded his team in 1966 at the 24 Hours of Daytona, and has been racing since the heyday ofEndurance across the Atlantic, Nascar and different series of single-seaters.

Small clarification, IndyCar is not bought by the Penske Racing team, but by this new subsidiary, built and managed by the indestructible Roger Penske, aged 83.

Penske Racing has won no less than 19 victories at the Indianapolis 500, including the 2019 edition won by the Frenchman. simon pagenaud. The Penske name is also present in Australia through the DJR team and its star driver Scott McLaughlin, on track to sign the pass of two this fall.
