If closed doors were the norm in motorsport in recent weeks to limit the risks of spreading the coronavirus, restrictions could begin to be reduced during the summer.

The IndyCar TV Shows have in fact announced that the meeting organized on the Iowa oval (July 17-18) could welcome the public, limited in number and subject to observation of strict distancing measures.

All fans will be screened in their vehicles with contactless temperature measurements before entering parking areas and only essential racing personnel will have access to the Infield of the oval.

The Iowa weekend will feature two IndyCar events, with a first round of 250 miles (400 km) on Friday, followed by a second on Saturday.
