Max Chilton will remain involved in the IndyCar Series in 2019, playing for the second consecutive year with the Carlin structure.

Max Chilton extends at Carlin

Past of F1 in Indy Lights, then in IndyCar between 2015 and 2016, Max Chilton will enter the championship again car major in the United States this year, by extending his adventure within the team Carlin.

A team that Chilton had frequented in British F3 then in GP2 Series, before his accession to F1 at Marussia, then found again in 2015 for his main program in Indy Lights. The following year, Tom Chilton's brother made the big leap to IndyCar by joining the prestigious Chip Ganassi Racing team for two campaigns, before reconnecting with Carlin for 2018.

The Briton's DW12 – Chevrolet No. 59 will once again be decorated in Gallagher colors for the coming season, which will begin in March on the streets of St Petersburg, Florida. The opportunity for Chilton to try to improve his results, he who remains in a rather gloomy campaign, with an 11th place as best classification in Detroit (Michigan), while 2017 had notably seen him rise to 4th place at the Indy 500 .

“Our first year together saw some ups and downs, but the potential and progress we showed as a team was evident to everyone. » explains Max Chilton.

Carlin also fielded a second car in 2018 for Charlie Kimball, who should be renewed on a partial program in the No. 23 car.
