Already entering four single-seaters for Danica Patrick, Marco Andretti, Tony Kanaan and Hideki Mutoh, the team led by Michael Andretti will therefore be able to count on an additional top driver in Sonoma. His Dallara-Honda will wear the colors of AFS, one of the largest American fire extinguisher companies.
Franck Montagny knows the Andretti Green team well, having competed in seven ALMS races last year at the wheel of the Acura LMP2. This collaboration was punctuated by an absolute victory at Belle Isle and a category success at Laguna Seca.
The former Super Aguri driver is obviously enthusiastic about this collaboration: “I can't wait to make my debut in Indycar. Last year, I had the opportunity to try one of the team?s Indy single-seaters and I enjoyed this first contact. I have to test in Sonoma this week, it will be very useful to learn the circuit and prepare for the race. We have a lot of work ahead, but I am convinced that we will meet the challenge! »
