Simon Pagenaud tackles Pikes Peak

The Frenchman will participate on June 30 in the famous American hill climb race on a Honda. He will meet Sébastien Loeb and Jean-Philippe Dayraut in Colorado.

A third Frenchman will participate in the 91st edition of Pikes Peak on June 30. After Loeb and Dayraut, simon pagenaud will take part in the “Cloud Race” at the wheel of a Honda. The presence of team driver Sam Schmidt, powered by Honda in Indycar, is thus part of an operation carried out by the American branch of the Japanese manufacturer, main partner of the famous event.

« Pikes Peak represents an extraordinary opportunity to present our different products », Reveals Mike Accavitti, vice president of Honda USA. The manufacturer is in fact entered in nine categories, but has not yet specified the car that Pagenaud will drive. This will be developed under the Honda Performance Development (HPD) and Team-Honda Research (THR) banner. This will be Poitevin's first participation in the event.
