Swift presents her 2012 IndyCar project

The battle to supply chassis to the IndyCar championship continues. It is now Swift Engineering's turn to reveal its first sketches.

After Dallara and Lola but before Delta Wing, Swift Engineering published this week its drawings foreshadowing what the single-seaters could look like.Indycar 2012 if ever the championship authorities were to entrust them with this project.

Less known than its Italian competitor which revealed its first sketches last week, the American manufacturer Swift Engineering is not new to the construction of single-seater chassis, the brand being in charge of the Formula Nippon and Japanese championships. Atlantic Series.

Given the first drawings, the 500 Indianapolis 2012 is likely to resemble a race straight out of an episode of Star Wars.
