Timothé Buret in Pro Mazda Championship in 2015

After a 2014 season punctuated in particular by a title of vice-European champion Endurance Proto 2,0L, 19-year-old Montpellier Timothé Buret will turn his destiny in 2015 to the other side of the Atlantic by entering the Pro Mazda Championship, the third division of the sector IndyCar. Buret will compete on behalf of the Juncos Racing team, which is neither more nor less than the team holding the Drivers titles (with the American Spencer Pigot) and Teams.

“I have been preparing for almost two years to join a championship of car of international level, indicates the Frenchman who had carried out tests with his new formation during the Chris Griffis Memorial Tests in Indianapolis before being offered the seat. Today I feel ready to take an important step in my racing career, to take on a new challenge and to show my value within the Road to Indy industry. I am lucky enough to join the reference team and to have as my teammate one of the favorite drivers for the 2015 title. I know the areas in which I still need to improve to claim victory. I plan to quickly assimilate them to reach the forefront and climb the ranks of the Road to Indy sector.”. Buret, coached by David Zollinger, will team up with Mexican Jose Gutierrez.

We should find two Tricolores next year in the category since Florian Latorre, USF 2000 champion this season (fourth division of the Road to Indy), recently told us that discussions with Cape Motorsports, his current team, were very advanced in view of a Pro Mazda program. France could well find in Buret and Latorre, two potential successors to Tristan Vautier, winner of the discipline in 2011 before subsequently winning in Indy Lights.
