Jack Aitken wins at Silverstone

Jack Aitken (Campos Racing) scored his second victory of the season by winning Race 2 of the F2 in Silverstone (Great Britain). The pilot of the Renault Sport Academy took advantage of the poor start of Callum Iott (Sauber Junior Team by Charouz) to place itself at the front before taking the advantage over Nyck de Vries (ART GP) then Louis Delétraz (Sauber Junior Team by Charouz). The Briton also won the bonus point for the best lap in the race.

Louis Delétraz finally finished almost 5 seconds behind the winner, while Nyck de Vries retained the lead in the Drivers' classification by completing the podium in front of pole sitter Callum Ilott.

Nicholas latifi (Dams) completed the Top 5, taking advantage of a puncture for Luca Ghiotto (Uni Virtuosi), the winner the day before, who fell to 15th place. Mick Schumacher (Prema Racing) had an aggressive race to take the points for 6th place ahead of Nobuharu Matsuhita (Carlin). Guanyu-Zhou (Uni Virtuosi) finished 8th, being overtaken by the Japanese after attempting a maneuver on the German.

Jordan King (MP Motorsport) and Juan Manuel Correa (Sauber Junior Team by Charouz) complete the Top 10 ahead of Anthoine Hubert (BWT Arden) who falls just short of the points after starting from 17th. Dorian Boccolacci (Trident) ranked 14th. Giuliano Alesi (Trident) is the only one to have retired, following contact with Arjun Maini who was penalized.
