Jehan Daruvala accelerates at Bahrain tests

After Pedro Piquet (Trident) yesterday, it's the turn of Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) to shine in FIA tests F2 from Bahrain.

On the Sakhir track, the Indian, new recruit of the program Red Bull Junior, achieved the absolute best time of these tests, completing a reference lap in 1'41″260 during the afternoon session.

Sufficient performance to get ahead Guanyu-Zhou (Uni-Virtuosi Racing) by 0″117, when Piquet stays on the right tempo by failing at 0″231.

Times clearly improving compared to the morning session, dominated by Nikita mazepin (Hitech GP) in 1'43″825, also the cause of a red flag.

Mick Schumacher (Prema) completes the top 5 with Sergey Sirotkin (ART Grand Prix), last minute replacement for Christian Lundgaard, confined in a hotel in the Canaries, due to a case of coronavirus detected in the establishment.

In the French clan, Giuliano Alesi (HWA Racelab), 6th this morning, set the last time, before concentrating on accumulating kilometers in the afternoon (48 laps, best total).
