F2 unveils its calendar for 2021

A few hours after the Formula 1, it's the turn of the Formula 2 to make public its provisional calendar for 2021. In accordance with what was announced a few days ago, there will not be twelve rounds on the calendar as in the last three seasons but eight, with a little novelty: three races per weekend instead of two.

As was to be the case this season before the Covid-19 pandemic decided otherwise, the championship will begin in Bahrain (March 26-28), before a two-month break and an expected meeting in the streets of Monaco (May 20-22). The Principality circuit will not be the only urban route used by the twenty-two drivers who will make up the F2 grid since Baku will also be on the program, before a round at Silverstone (July 16-18).

After the summer break, we will meet in the temple of speed, in Monza (September 10-12), for the Sochi meeting two weeks later. Finally, F2 will end its season two months later, at the same time as Formula 1, by going first to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia then to Yas Marina, for the traditional season finale. Note that of the twelve rounds of the 2020 calendar, only four of them will still be present in 2021.

The calendar :

March 26-28: Bahrain
May 20-22: Monaco
June 4-6: Baku
July 16-18: Silverstone
September 10-12: Monza
September 24-26: Sochi
November 26-28: Saudi Arabia
December 03-05: Abu Dhabi
