The cancellation of the last two editions of Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand left the field open to the F3 Asia. The winter series has in fact taken the lion's share to the point of having established itself as the reference winter series in car. This year, the championship, which begins this weekend, returns with a field as full as last year, but with a new name: “Formula Regional Asian Championship”. The goal ? Include it fully in the FIA pyramid and make clear the fact that it is a Regional F3 championship (between F4 and F3), and not International F3. The very generous 18 superlicense points offered to the winner had pushed four drivers from F2 to align in 2021 (Zhou, Daruvala, Nissany, Deledda), somewhat stacking the dice with the victory of the Chinese who ultimately did not even have
