The new year has barely begun, and eyes are already turned towards the upcoming sports seasons. This is how the French Automobile Sports Federation has just made official the compositions of its two FFSA French Teams, one for the circuit under the captaincy of Jean Alesi and the other for the rally under the leadership of Pierre Ragues, both reunited this week during a pre-season training course at altitude in Val Thorens (Savoie).

5 drivers make up the first of the two with Victor Martins at the head, whose 2025 program has not yet been announced, Alessandro Giusti, who will discover the Formula 3 at MP Motorsport and in the fold Williams Racing, Enzo Peugeot and Evan Giltaire, who will both repeat the year in FRECA, and Jules Caranta, now attached to the Red Bull Junior Team, which will play in Eurocup 3. The five boys will obviously have the same objective as one of their recent predecessors in the person of Isack Hadjar: to climb the ladder to the Formula 1.

The FFSA Rallye France Team, back after a season of absence, is giving pride of place to the southerners. The 2024 French Rally Champions Léo Rossel and Guillaume Mercoiret are part of the adventure as well as Pablo Sarrazin and Geoffrey Combe, while Sarah Rumeau and Julie Amblard, still supported by Iron Dames, become the first women to join the system. The 3 crews will notably be present in WRC2 in 2025 and will participate in the next Rallye Monte Carlo from January 23 to 26.

« This training course is always a special moment for me, the opportunity to do a physical assessment and individual interviews with all the drivers, in order to evaluate their progress., punchline Christophe Lollier, National Technical Director of the FFSA. During these few days, we will confront the circuit drivers with complex technical situations on ice, while the objective for the rally crews is the preparation of the Monte Carlo in a few days. The fact that all our circuit drivers come from the national detection center demonstrates that our federal system works and that we work with talents with high potential. All will be capable in 2025 of reaching podiums and titles. »
