Maldonado wins, Grosjean capitalizes

Starting in pole position, having finished 8th in the first race on Saturday, Andreas Zuber is ideally placed to take his first victory of the season. After two training laps following a problem with Valsecchi's car, Maldonado immediately got the better of Zuber. Winner in Monaco, the Venezuelan has championship ambitions, being part of the top 5. This ranking is led by Grosjean, who regained the lead after Saturday's race. In this second race, the Franco-Swiss is fourth but has difficulty keeping contact with Chandhok, who precedes him. At the front, Maldonado and Zuber escape.

Behind, Nunes goes into the background and Lucas di Grassi, fast on Saturday, is at the back of the pack after stalling on the grid. Still quite far from the points, Petrov attempted a daring overtake on Filippi, who then had to resist the attacks of his other pursuers, without succeeding. Shortly after, Dani Clos and Luiz Razia collided, while Mortara made a very good comeback, overtaking Villa and Filippi, before his car stopped him in his progress.

While he was able to restart after his collision with Razia, Dani Clos, stopped in the middle of the track two laps from the end, caused the safety car to come out. It is therefore a procession with protected positions which ends the race. Pastor Maldonado wins his second race of the season, having managed to keep Andreas Zuber at bay. Karun Chandhok, who was fast in Monaco, without being able to finish, allows Ocean Racing to achieve its first podium. While Romain Grosjean, fourth, learns to collect points in order to extend his lead in the world championship.
