After his 5th place and a successful rookie season last year in F2, the Sauber driver did not hide his title ambitions last winter for his second year in the category. If Felipe Drugovich has a comfortable points reserve (40 points) at the top and things have become a little complicated, Théo is still in the running for the coronation at the end of the season. Among his main achievements were two main race victories, in Bahrain and Imola, and two 2nd places in Monaco and Silverstone. The Habs, however, were not helped by their mechanics in the first two rounds, with an engine problem during the sprint in Sakhir and a disastrous weekend with repeated problems in qualifying and in the race in Saudi Arabia.
