Last night, the Châtelet theater grounds hosted the traditional FFSA Trophies, an edition marked by emotion.
simon pagenaud (Team Penske) was awarded a Gold License for its victory at the Indianapolis 500) when Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah, champion Formula E), Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso, 7th in the world championship F1) and Philippe Sinault (Signatech Principal Team Alpine, LM P2 champion WEC and winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans in the category), were honored with a Golden Steering Wheel.
But it was the vibrant tributes paid to Anthoine Hubert (to whom a posthumous Golden Steering Wheel was awarded), Jean-Luc Thérier and Jean-Paul Driot, who died during the year, which marked the evening.
“We have experienced painful moments this season, but also moments of joy where several drivers confirmed or raised new hopes, indicated Nicolas Deschaux, president of the FFSA.
This ceremony is a good way to pay tribute to all these drivers, whether they are professional or not, but also to all the players in our sport who invest in making it grow. »
Nearly 300 players in French motorsport were honored during this evening.
