Pedro Piquet and Louis Delétraz with Charouz

Charouz Racing System has chosen a complementary crew for the 2020 season. F2. The Czech team, which no longer displays its partnership with Sauber, will field Louis Delétraz and Pedro Piquet in place of Callum Illott and Matevos Isaakyan.

It will be a return for Louis Delétraz who already played with the team in 2018. The former Formula champion Renault 2.0 NEC has been playing in the discipline full-time for three years and had its best season this year with Carlin with 3 podiums and an 8th place in the championship.

“I'm looking forward to working with the Charouz guys again, most of them were already there when I rode for them in 2018, declared the Swiss. I know that they have solid experience and I am sure that we will be able to achieve great things in 2020. I plan to fight at the front and try to impose myself with Charouz. »

Pedro Piquet, on the other hand, will discover the discipline after having evolved for two years in F3 (and formerly GP3) with Trident, finishing 5th in the last championship.

“It was time for me to take this step in my career and I feel ready to take on the challenge that F2 represents, commented the son of Nelson Piquet. I had good training in the other series which will be valuable to me. I'm happy to join Charouz because they had two great years in F2 and they had a fast car. One of the reasons that motivated me to join them is that I know the engineering department very well and I know that I will work with good people. »

Charouz Racing System finished in 6th place out of the ten teams entered this year in F2. Ladies also confirmed its crew a few days earlier.
