Pigot joins Team RLL – Citrone/Buhl Autosport for the Indy GP and Indy 500

In the wake of the Citrone/Buhl Autosport announcement, the entity confirmed a partnership with Team Rahal Letterman Lanigan to line up at the start of the Indianapolis Grand Prix (May 9) and the Indianapolis 500 ( May 24).

Le Team RLL – Citrone/Buhl Autosport will for the occasion trust Spencer pigot, 2015 Indy Lights champion, passed by Ed Carpenter Racing and already by Team RLL in IndyCar in 2016, notably at the Indy 500.

“We thought this was the best way to learn and gain experience at the highest level and we were incredibly impressed by everyone we met at RLL, says Robert Citrone, co-owner of Citrone/Buhl Autosport.

Bobby and my family share a connection to Pittsburgh with his dealership group based there and with my family's involvement in the Pittsburgh Steelers. »

Engaged for the year in 2019 with Ed Carpenter Racing, Spencer Pigot had two top 5 finishes at the Grand Prix of Indianapolis and in Iowa. Pigot will evolve on a car powered by the Honda engine, like the usual Team RLL cars, entrusted this season to Graham Rahal and Takuma Sato.
