First pole for Lundgaard and ART Grand Prix

Great first this season for Christian Lundgaard and ART Grand Prix. The Danish driver and the French team have indeed signed their first pole position of the season. The Dane was in fact ahead of the resident of another French team, since it was Daniel Ticktum who finished 2nd, only 0 behind Lundgaard.

The nice surprise on the ART Grand Prix side was that Marcus Armstrong was on the pace. In difficulty since the second round of the season, the New Zealand driver achieved his best qualification of the year by taking 4th place, ahead of Felipe Drugovich (MP Motorsport), Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) and Jüri Vips (DAMS).

Ilott ahead of Prema drivers

In the fight for the title, Callum Ilott (UNI-Virtuosi), author of 50% of the pole positions before this 9th round of the season, once again proved that he was comfortable on a fast lap. The pilot Ferrari set the 3rd time, in the same tenth as Lundgaard.

In the fight with the two Prema drivers for the title, the Englishman took the best, since Robert Shwartzman (9th) and Mick Schumacher (15th) both finished far away. It must be said that on his first flying lap, the German went wide and took a turn in the gravel. Behind, if he was able to repair the slight damage visible on his car, its flat bottom also seemed slightly affected.
