Fourth victory for Robert Shwartzman

He is now the winningest driver this season. By winning the sprint race of the Grand Prix of Formula 2 from Bahrain, Robert Shwartzman won his 4th victory of the season. The Russian is the man who has won the most this season. he won this Sunday in front of Nikita mazepin (Hitech) and Louis Delétraz (Charouz).

The race was particularly lively, especially for the title contenders. In the 8th round, Callum Ilott (UNI-Virtuosi), fighting with Mick Schumacher (Prema) for 4th place, came violently to spear Jehan Daruvala in the blind tight left of sector 2. Result: abandonment for the Indian, and a drive through penalty for the Briton who was thereby condemned to don't get into the points.

In all this, the championship leader escaped the frontal collision but saw his steering slightly damaged. The German, finally 7th, took two small points from Ilott and now has 14 points more.

The race was more complicated for Yuki tsunoda (Pug). The Japanese made a superb start from 3rd place but an impact from Marcus Armstrong (ART Grand Prix) at the first corner caused the puncture of his right rear wheel. Nippon therefore lost 3rd place in the championship but remains in the Top 5, which it needs to go into F1

French side Theo Pourchaire (HWA Racelab) was forced to retire on the 6th lap, after his fire extinguisher went off in the car. Giuliano Alesi (MP Motorsport) finished 13th.
