Schumi has regained his feelings

The day started quite well with a dry track and blue skies but the rain quickly arrived on the Spanish circuit. Intensifying in the afternoon, it even brought the session to a premature end.

“I hadn?t driven a car as close to a current one F1 for a long time,” explains Michael Schumacher in a press release published by the GP2 organizers. “Even if the conditions were not what we hoped for, I found my feelings again. I felt in harmony with the track from the start. I would like to thank the team and the GP2 Series for giving me the opportunity to drive their car. »

Didier Perrin, technical director, said he was satisfied with this first day of racing: “Michael was able to discover the car and has already analyzed its performance and behavior. I hope the weather will be more favorable tomorrow to start working on the settings for 2011."
