Schumi has regained his feelings

To "help" the organizers in the development of the GP2 which will be on the track by 2011 and above all to get back behind the wheel of a single-seater, Michael Schumacher completed 52 laps today in Jerez... before being stopped by the rain.

Schumi has regained his feelings

The day started quite well with a dry track and blue skies but the rain quickly arrived on the Spanish circuit. Intensifying in the afternoon, it even brought the session to a premature end.

“I hadn?t driven a car as close to a current one F1 for a long time,” explains Michael Schumacher in a press release published by the GP2 organizers. “Even if the conditions were not what we hoped for, I found my feelings again. I felt in harmony with the track from the start. I would like to thank the team and the GP2 Series for giving me the opportunity to drive their car. »

Didier Perrin, technical director, said he was satisfied with this first day of racing: “Michael was able to discover the car and has already analyzed its performance and behavior. I hope the weather will be more favorable tomorrow to start working on the settings for 2011."
